Restricted Businesses Overview
Businesses are prohibited from using the TrueEstate Platform and Services if they fall under the following categories, unless explicit prior approval from TrueEstate is obtained:
- Illegal Products and Services
- Any illegal offerings are strictly prohibited.
- Intellectual Property Infringement
- Sales or access to counterfeit music, movies, software, etc.
- Activities that infringe upon trademarks, copyrights, or proprietary rights.
- Counterfeit or Unauthorized Goods
- Counterfeit items and unauthorized resale of branded products.
- Gambling
- Includes lotteries, sports forecasting, fantasy sports leagues with cash prizes, internet gaming, contests, and sweepstakes.
- Regulated or Illegal Products
- Cannabis and marijuana businesses, illegal drugs, tobacco products, weapons, and age-restricted goods.
- Adult Content and Services
- Pornography, obscene materials, and sexually-related services.
- Unfair, Predatory, or Deceptive Practices
- Get-rich-quick schemes, mug shot publication sites, and no-value-added services.
- Aggregation
- Licensed or unlicensed aggregation of funds owed to third parties or payment facilitation.
- Drug Paraphernalia
- Equipment for drug use (e.g., bongs, vaporizers).
- Multi-Level Marketing
- Pyramid schemes and multi-level marketing.
- Pseudo Pharmaceuticals
- Nutraceuticals and products making unverified health claims.
- Social Media Activity
- Selling social media followers or traffic.
- Substances Mimicking Illegal Drugs
- Sale of legal substances that mimic illegal drugs (e.g., salvia, kratom).
- Video Game or Virtual World Credits
- Sale of in-game currency or items unless the merchant is the operator of the virtual world.
Additional Notes
- Businesses that are unsure if they qualify as Restricted Businesses should contact TrueEstate for clarification.
- All illegal businesses are ineligible for the Services.
